I don’t understand Art.
For exams, it’s all: ‘you must have THIS in your sketchbook to show experimentation, and this this and this so the examiner can see how much work you’ve put in, and make annotations on THAT to explain that you’ve spelled it wrong on purpose in reference to x y and z, and…
this is why i stopped making art for a while after i graduated. now that i don’t have to do that shit anymore, i’m getting back into it and love it again.
I didn’t realise this was SaRad whilst I was reading this and I was like “heh…I need to link SaRad to this.” then I realised. But yeah, this is why I dread art/regret taking it 90% of the time.
Yeah, I remember my old Art teacher saying, “All that stuff you have to do for exams isn’t really art.” I just really want to do it on my own terms, but at the same time I want to do well. Oh well, one day maybe.
