a baby is born. the hospital is showing a movie in the lobby. the baby sees a scene and thinks “wow. i would love to see a gifset of that part someday”. many years later, that same baby is now a man, and as he scrolls through tumblr he sees gifs from the scene in the movie. his dream is finally fulfilled. “I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GIFSET MY WHOLE LIFE” the man adds to the post as he reblogs it

#like okay sit up and shut down because let me tell you what makes these boys so amazing #whether high or lowborn all eunuchs started out having some semblance of power #and more dangerously a belief that their manhood makes them important #or whole #or valuable #and then it’s taken away from them #but in the worst possible way #because to be a eunuch in westeros or essos is to no longer be a person #it’s no longer about not being a man #it’s about not being fully recognized as a human being #men are cut to be better slaves #they are cut to be dehumanized and denied the right of sexual pleasure or procreation #they are more or less seen as pathetic little monsters #imagine being somebody and then being nobody in the mind of your whole culture #and lets not even start to talk gender identity and how fucked up that is going to become #and all of the emotional trauma from very suddenly having your outside not match your inside #I think the resilience of these characters is one of those things that people don’t focus on enough #how these violated boys that have been reduced to scum on the shoes of everyone around them #can rise above
